Originally called the ‘Frontier’ bracelet, Canada is its inspiration - the courage, beauty, and vision upon which Canada was founded by both its First Nations and European immigrants, along the natural boundaries of expansive wilderness. Canadian Labradorite is considered a magical stone for those who travel and embrace the universe. The Inuit people believe Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis and transformed the extraordinary shimmering into a mystical light that separates the waking world from unseen realms. Another legend describes a brave Inuit warrior who struck Labradorite with his spear and created the Northern Lights. Canadian Labradorite was first collected near Nain in the 1770s by missionaries and taken to Europe, where it was valued for its beauty. Today, the quarry rights to the Nain Labradorite deposits belong to the Labrador Inuit Association.
LABRADORITE is a Stone of Magic, a crystal of shamans, diviners, healers, and all who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance. For self-discovery, it is excellent for awakening one's own awareness of inner spirit, intuition, and psychic abilities. It encourages contemplation and introspection, bringing the clarity of intellectual thought and intuitive wisdom to help dispel illusion, determine the root cause of an issue, and bring one to peace. It is an uplifting crystal, helping to banish fears and insecurities while enhancing faith and reliance in oneself and trust in the universe. Labradorite is also the most powerful protector of the mineral kingdom, creating a shielding force throughout the aura and strengthening natural energies from within. It protects against the negativity and misfortunes of this world, and provides safe exploration into alternate levels of consciousness and in facilitating visionary experiences from the past or the future. Referred to as the "temple of the stars," Labradorite is thought to bring the light of other planetary beings to the soul of the user.

Caring for Your Jewellery
Scot & Saxon sources AAA and higher quality crystals and gemstones. All beads and pendants are handcrafted, therefore, there may be slight variations in craftsmanship or natural characteristics in the crystals that are unique and individual to each piece. These characteristics are considered part of the character of the item, and are not considered a defect. Scot & Saxon jewellery is delicate. Please do not allow your pieces to get wet, wear while exercising, or wear while sleeping. Protect your jewellery from scratches and tarnish by storing in the velvet bag. Polish your jewellery frequently with a soft cloth to maintain its original finish. Put your jewellery on last when dressing, and gently take off first when undressing. Protect your jewellery from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. Avoid contact with water.
Sterling Silver is composed of .925 pure Silver and plated with a thin layer of pure Silver. Silver tarnishes with prolonged exposure to oxygen, which may quicken if the Silver is near salt water or products containing sulfur. While Sterling Silver beads are of an extremely high quality, they may fade if worn carelessly or scratched deeply.
24k Vermeil Gold
24k Vermeil Gold is plated over .925 Sterling Silver. Using a nickel-free process, the Silver is plated with 1 micron of 18K Gold for strength, and then followed by 2 microns of 24k Gold. Vermeil Gold may show signs of tarnish if left in the open air. While Vermeil Gold beads are of an extremely high quality, they may fade if worn carelessly or scratched deeply.
When Crystal Jewellery Breaks
Owning crystal jewellery or a mala is a lesson in and of its own, of learning to let go and release in order to grow. Scot & Saxon jewellery is intended to be worn on a regular basis, which is another reason why care must be taken to ensure they remain in excellent condition long term. A broken crystal jewellery piece or mala symbolizes a broken cycle in your life. It means you have learned an important lesson or cleared a karmic cycle. You don't 'need' that particular crystal, which resonated with you when you needed it, anymore. A broken crystal jewellery piece or mala is a sign that it's time to bring new intentions into your life as you have outgrown the current one. It is said when crystal jewellery or mala breaks you are not supposed to fix it. Instead, you collect the beads and pieces and place them in a place that is special for you; the crystals still work, so keep them nearby for their energetic benefits. You are now ready for the next step, with new lessons and more karma to clear to continue your personal growth, and it is time to connect with and choose a new crystal. This being said, it is understandable that you may feel compelled to preserve your investment. You may request a re-stringing for $50 if you would like your piece restored.
